Fresh From Paris (1955) DVD: Fresh From Paris 1955 DVD |
| Product Description : This movie has Forrest Tucker, the man with the wavy blond hair and inviting blue eyes, playing a showman Dan Bradley, who thinks he's found a backer for his own nightspot in millionaire Alfred Gaylord (Lloyd Corrigan). Little does Tucker know that Corrigan is actually a gardener! Known as a five-day wonder, director Leslie Goodwins actually wrapped up shooting this movie in five days. Forrest Tucker was an American actor in both movies and television from the 1940's to the 1980's. He served in the United States Cavalry and then performed in burlesque theater. While on vacation in California in 1940, he began auditioning for movie roles. He was a master character actor; best suited for westerns but flexible enough for any type role. He was a tall, stocky, burly looking man with blonde wavy hair, a lived-in face with carved features, a prominent jaw and a gruff, rugged voice. While his co-star Margaret Whiting was a dominant pop singer in the '40s and '50s, though whether she's a jazz vocalist is often in question. She had a clear, striking voice and the kind of quasi-innocent sensibility. |
